Celebrating the end of 2008

This is a new combination of people and still we still enjoyed ourselves. Tai hao le... this started from my craving for mala steamboat. And my wish came true before 2008 ends:) I quite miss eating steamboat ever since GIp.

Initally, I thought Jy and pf would be quite shy to meet new guy frens..but after yesterday after some warm up time, they should be quite finE.. jia you!During jc times, our class only had 5 guys, jian zhi jiu shi ge girls world...I am glad that i changed my course track from arts to engineering... the learning environment and the people i met are totally of different. They got different strengths and I hope after these few years I am able to "absorb" and apply the arts and science part of me. I got to admit that the "literature" part of me is more or less gone, considering my lack of practice..but I would still be able to appreciate lit work.

The year 2008 is a rather challenging year for me..Many excitements, tears and sweat..i think i can summarise these are all...成长的代价

There are a few things i would like to achieve in the year 2009

1. Get a good Job and cannot slack le
2. Know how to make smart decisions fast
3. Manage my time better (btw work and family) because working might be different

I created a collection of the photos i taken with my colleagues in Wai Gao Qiao Venture...these are the jing hua photos that we have taken during our chinese new year steamboat, luxurious ktv session, birthday celebration, last meeting with my female colleagues and the last day of work...although this is very simple to do using picasa but i think it has summarise all the days at work .. basically I attached this doc and send it with a thank u email to my colleague when i back in Sin... and was glad tt they liked it..:) i m glad tt i did it for them

other than photos... i have my soft toys to share abt my childhood! this is BABY MINNIE! with xiao wu gui by her side hahah.. i used to have a baby minnie soft toy when i was young but because my nose cannot tahan furry stuff den in the end i dunno where it went to...when i saw this baby minnie at disneyland I felt e urge in my heart tt i wan this toy even though i know its meant for babies hahhaha cos when u press e ear of e minnie got the sqeak sqeak sound...

i love this minnie until i will pat it like a baby when i feeling sad ..omg ... i m glad its with me by my bed now ..:) and its taking care of my xwg!


wondering where do i start my soft toys craze rite? that was during shanghai where my nose din give me any problems at all.. and we were feeling cold and it feels good to have something to hug .. let me intro u

RED and WHITE combination! The white shelf is mainly assembled with e help of my daddy...budden the 3 red compartments that are being set up by me ! just a few steps of screwing and hitting makes me han liu jia bei lor..hahah..but i still enjoyed the fun of it..and my room looks more spacious and neat now le...i realised i did kept alot of books in my room ...even those teenage books i still cant bear to throw them away sia..
the red drawer is the tough one which involves the most number of parts...真有成就感

this show is definitely worth watching ... i laughed until siao and cry like siao also.. the main actress who acted as the Mother was really good in the show...at the funny parts she is cute...at the sad times.. she looks so lonely...there are more emtional parts than the 笑料...still it is a truly entertaining movie... throughout the movie i heard "tsk tsk tsk" sounds at he background whtn the kids did something 不孝 to the Mother.. 现场气氛的感染力也很强。GO bring ur mama and papa to watch ba...

anyway this is the 1st me going to watch preview it was so interesting to think that the actors are just sitting behind you watching themselves act on the screen haha.. and the encouragement they got at the end of the show is very direct...but i still shy dun dare to shake hands with Mother hehe... i guess they are very touched by 观众直接的支持..which is a very good start of showing of the movie ba..i guess ..imgining wad are e celebrities thinking haa..

Second round of packing since I came back

Yesterday I went Ikea with my family to get a shelf! this is the 1st time I experienced shopping the "ikea" style...wah at first it is like so ma fan that i have to locate the things that i wanted and note down their location...everything was going on quite slowly cos i didnt know what i wanted to get acty so i just decide on the spot... then the things i wanted and i saw from the catologue are quite hard to locate...plus the place very big i just went rounds and rounds...by the time i get the stock from the store... i m already feeling very warm liao...

stupid me stil bring jacket thinking it would be so cold in there...in e end tired like siao..

I spent this whole morning doing "summer cleaning" for the second time and I m tired like siao...managed to assemble the cabinets and chairs but i think e shelf itself i better wait for papa to do it with me ...lol...i cant find the hammer!..wl shall wait patiently for it to be set up later on ...show u all later:)

my work started with my nosE running!... heng this room isnt very cold.. and subsequently many many kids join in and the whole place became quite warm in fact ...then when i talked to my colleagues playing as MASCOTS..wahh they very ke lian i think.. they are suanaa-in inside e rabbit and barney!..and the costume is so heavy and the most impt thing is that they kana bullied by e kids lorh..pulling of tail...budden its so sweet to see hugs from them..too bad i din take a shoot of these cuties..

this girl was playing in the jumping castle...but she was so small and gentle in the shaking castle...i was so scared she got hurt and knocked down lor..so i brought her to do her drawing..:)rescue her from danger..very pretty hor she... just like a little princess..therefore i told her elder brother to take care of her..felt so envious when i saw him hold his hand around lorh hahaha...

i dunno why the CEO of the company event told me to take care of his kids in the hotel room..this was taken in the hotel room.. i was left with 5 kids and working tgt with 1 nanny lorh..so many of them to handle! i was like a bit lost at first, in fact bored in the room cos i wasnt with pauline and they kids are watching their "care bears" cartoon..hahah

i wan to talk abt this little princess...Anisha...she is a american born indian...look at her very pretty hor..her nose very ting de ...throughout the session she likes to sit on my lap and watch tom and jerry...and she dances for me to see wor...turn circles and circles i think i nearly yun dao haha.. i like to hug her when she looks so scared in the crowd of kids...oooh but she got another side of her which is scary..tts when shE MISSES her mumMY...she will crawl flat on the carpet! like any other kids lor..like gg to cry face and throw away anything tt u offer her...den i realised distract her with other kids or tv would be the best thing....the rest of the time i think i enjoyed chatting with aunty lili..( their employed nanny) quite cool leh she earns 15 dollars per hr.. i think quite gd part time when i m old ..haha...aunty lili also likes anisha best ..she says give her also wants to bring back home..yeah lorh ...i also agree

hahah glad tt jason waited for me to end the whole session cos pauline and the rest ended work slightly earlier le...budden quite a chong shi day cos i met my jcs frens to celebrate jieying's birthday!btw i must mention JIEYING : u must really try on the new style of clothes we got for u...you really look very diff and super feminine in it yesterday...surely will give u more refreshed look and UP ur confidence lor...jia you!:) must trust KOH KOH...

dreading to start work

AMAzING~~

We would be heading to Hangzhou this Thurs after Mayday concert on Wed night...This 印象西湖 is one of the Zhong dian of this trip...heard it is directed by Zhang Yi Mou and other 2 famous artists...This is a play performing on Famous Xi Hu of hangzhou.. and there is only one timing every night. Tickets selling from 220rmb to 10000rmb!! THe high end one is for Bao Xiang one...

This is the intro of it..让我觉得它应该是部艺术价值挺高的一场 演出..可能只有在西湖中才能达 到这样的效果.. 等我看了再update 你们...

曲幕

印象西湖的创作方为著名导演张艺谋、王潮歌、樊跃(即“印象·刘三姐”的创作班子)三位国际大师，这个“铁三角”导演团队是“印象西湖”项目的灵魂所在，创作风格大气而极具震撼力，在体现当今世界高端技术的同时给人以极强的视觉冲击。音乐方面，邀请国际著名音乐大师喜多郎( 听歌)先生担任作曲，其空灵悠远的音乐一直为人们喜爱，并与西湖的气质一脉相承。此外，张靓颖( 听歌 blog)友情演唱其中的主题歌《爱》，她美丽而有穿透力的演唱被喜多郎赞为“有如天籁”。

筹备策划

印象西湖的演出地点在岳湖景区：南至赵公堤，北至岳湖楼，西至曲院风荷包括西湖会所，东至苏堤。整个演出，将以自然的山水、景观为自然舞台进行表演；在岳湖楼南边建设可容纳1500人的升降式可收缩观众坐席，既不破坏白天的旅游景点，演出时又能为观众提供阶梯形看台；在湖面演出区域内(水下、水上)配备特有的灯光和激光照射，以满足舞台及背景的需要。项目的方案设计充分考虑环保、绿化、安全等因素，各项技术、设备全部采用国内乃至国际上最先进最环保的技术和设备,可移动,可拆卸,是全国唯一一个没有固定剧场的都市山水实景演出。

内容

“印象西湖”演出内容紧紧围绕一个“水”字，以水来体现西湖的精髓与韵味，运用高科技手段来展现雨中西湖和西湖之雨的景象，从一个侧面反映西湖的神奇和自然。同时“印象西湖”还着重于挖掘杭州的古老民间传说、神话，依托实景剧场反映当地传统文化，体现杭州的自然特色、历史底蕴和民间文化沉淀，最终通过变幻莫测的五彩灯光艺术来表现，这是一场具有国际一流艺术水准的大型山水实景演出。

从前从前,有一个地方,有一位少年和一位少女.少年十八岁,少女十六岁.少年并 不怎么英俊,少女也不怎么漂亮.是任何地方都有的孤独而平凡的少年和少女.不过他 们都坚决地相信,在这世界上的某个地方,一定有一位100%和自己相配的少女和少男. 有一天,两个人在街角偶然遇见了. "好奇怪啊!我一直都在找你,也许你不会相信,不过你对我来说,正是100%的女孩子呢?"少年对少女说. 少女对少男说:"你对我来说才正是100%的男孩子呢,一切的一切都跟我想像的一 模一样.简直向在作梦嘛." 两个人在公园的长椅上坐下,好像有永远谈不完的话,一直谈下去,两个人再也不 孤独了,追求100%的对象,被100%的对象追求,是一件多么美妙的事啊! 可是两个人心里,却闪现一点点的疑虑,就那么一点点----梦想就这么简单地实现 ,是不是一件好事呢? 谈话忽然中断的时候,少年这么说道:"让我们再试一次看看.如果我们两个真的是 100%的情侣的话,将来一定还会在某个地方再相遇,而且下次见面的时候,如果互相还 觉得对方是100%的话,那我们马上就结婚,你看怎么样?" 其实说真的,实在没有任何需要考验的地方:因为他们是名符其实100%的情侣.而 且命运的波涛是注定要捉弄有情人的. 有一年冬天,两个人都得了那年流行的恶性流行性感冒,好几个星期都要一直在生 死边缘挣扎的结果,往日的记忆已经完全丧失,当他们醒过来的时候,他们脑子里已经 像少年时代的D.H.劳伦斯的钱筒一样空空如也. 不过因为两个人都是聪明而有耐心的少年和少女,因此努力再努力的结果,总算又 获得了新的知识何感情.并且顺利地重回社会.他们也能好好地搭地下铁换车,也能到 邮局去发限时专送.而且也经历了75%的恋爱,或85%的恋爱. 就这样少年长成三十二岁,少女也有三十岁了.时光已惊人的速度流逝而过.

于是在一个四月的晴朗早晨,少年为了喝一杯Morning Service的咖啡,而在原宿 的一条巷子正中央擦肩而过,失去的记忆的微弱之光,瞬间再两人心中一闪. 她对我来说,正是100%的女孩啊! 他对我而言,真是100%的男孩啊! 可是他们的记忆之光实在太微弱了,他们的声音也不再十四年前那么清澈了,两个 人一语不发地擦肩而过,就这样消失到人群里去了.

SchOol daYs

It’s already the third week since sch started already…I felt that every week’s lessons are very long!~! tian aR…cos it’s like a 2-3 hrs lecture…argh I hated the history part!!(as usual) The economics lesson is still quite engaging as the prof is always throwing questions around…My mind was totally blank when he ask me a question. The difficult part is that I didn’t have the interest in jin rong in the 1st place and didn’t take note of the latest updates of whats going on…so most of the time I m lost and mayb distracted at times…woopS..the time when I m awake us during the language part..which is something that I have been learning in e past..budden I’ve return most of my stuff to my teachers liao…:P zong zhi, we are learning new stuff every day la..like wad I always felt that I’ve gt a lot of rm of improvement for my language part...esp after I lost touch in Chinese after jc..it’s getting worse…every time I heard something new I would try to rem although abit STM..most of them didn’t retain in my mind.haha..I got a bit 被惹毛 when my fren said “I thought how powerful is ur Chinese..XX also nv heard before?” roar! Dunno cannot mEh…知识是学不完的how can I know everything..bish! Alright, I think it’s just an unintentional comment by him…只是他点中了我的死穴! that’s y I felt offended…haha.. 上学的一段小插曲。。

Sounds familiar? I m back to pri sch days where by we have to hand up this worksheet every fortnightly..although this is onli one page of words, but we got write it using 隶书(a type of writing in chi calligraphy)..heng I ‘ve written this before during jc but it’s diff this time. We are using ink pen and writing in e cold…so these the results.. we wrote it together and everyone was like super quiet den suddenly someone would cry out then the silence would be broken…this persisted for ard 25 mins den we FINALLY completed one page …hahah btw, it’s already 1130pm when we finished..gt to wake up at 6 plus yest for work...super last mIn 的一群

Our first sch excursion - Shanghai Museum

San hao ren agaiN!
We went to the shanghai museum on one of our excursion,it was quite a rush trip as we reached there quite late. In the end still gt “chased out” of the museum by the security..hahah..super nan de…acty I would rather to have more excursions than lectures…can see more and observe more things..perhaops I m still a person that is more visual…I saw ppl flying kites outside the museum! Kite flying! My fav lor! Seems like we can fly kite any where in shanghai as long as u are in a open field..the wind here is crazy! But I like it! I would definitely experience flying kite here..a MUST! Confirm very different in Singapore!...the kites “hanged” easily up onto the sky and the wind is able to bring it many times further than what we can achieve in Sin..! feeling super excited abt that! Must try it one day.

lAst thurs was a moody day for me ~~But guess whAT..soMethINg i met on my way back home brightens up my day..although e day is already ending but it's not late..

I saw 2 tour buses which stopped in front of me as i was crossing e road..den I took a second look at the kids in e coach..they definitely dont look like locals..somehow i feel tt they reminds me of my brother.. thinking that they might be singaporeans too! den as i passed by the front of one of the coaches.i saw the wordings!!!which made me so haPPY...."圣公会中学 中华文化浸儒团"wow this sounds so familar!! exactly the same name we used during in sec sch times.. thinking that I "Should" be here 7 years ago...!! only my sec sch knows why i didnt get to go that time ...oh no its already 7 years le...anyway, after tt i super high the whole nite plus its also the last day of work for tt wk...

We met a local whom we gt to know at ling shan da fo...she brought us ard that night...a very bubbly little girl..really cannot imagine she is one yr younger than me...~!! 1st time i feel so strongly abt ppl having yuan fen in a foreign place...we can meet at totally 2 diff place in less than 12 hrs ! interesting..
